In her bid for the presidency of the Undergraduate Council of Harvard University, Frances Martel has received the endorsement of Cuban American leaders Silvio Acosta, Ramón Saúl Sánchez and Mario Fernández. Frances is the first Hispanic Woman to run for the presidency of Harvard University. Martel is a Cuban American from Union City. NJ State Senator, and Union City Mayor Brian P. Stack, a true friend of the Cuban community and the Cuban Cause declared: “I am very proud of Frances representing Union City in such a prestigious institution. She’s breaking ground, opening the doors for other women and minority to stay the course. She has my full support!”
